Yatra Significance

Besides, the routes of pilgrimage journeys mentioned in the puranic texts, Shri Kashi Darshan Seva Samiti, has thoughtfully customized some yatra routes of its own which is very much ideal for those who want to do the darshan & worship of most of the Gods & Goddesses of Kashi region, with in the limited period of time.

Vrihat Kashi Darshan Yatra

Vrihat Kashi Darshan Yatra is a combination of “Sampoorna Kashi Darshan Yatra” & “Vindhyachal Sitamani & Prayag Darshan Yatra”

In this package of pilgrimage journey of Kashi, pilgrims will not only visit & worship almost each and every major temples, shakti peeths and places of puranic significance of Kashi but also do the pilgrimage of Kashi Panchkroshi Circle, Prayag-Sangam Isnaan and Vindhyachal Dhaam Darshan.

The yatra is divided into three parts where in the first part pilgrims will visit and worship the important temples and places of Varanasi in five days. In the second part, pilgrims will do the circumambulation of Kashi (Kashi Panchkroshi Yatra) in either one or in three days. And finally, in the third part of Vrihat Kashi Darshan Yatra, pilgrims will do the yatra of shakti peeth Vindhyachal dhaam and Tirthraj Prayag in two days.

Tour Period: 10 Days & 9 Nights

Day 1:
After arriving at the airport or railway station, check in to the hotel’s room. Have lunch and some rest there. And in the evening, First pilgrims will be taken to one of the ghats of river Ganga where they will sit peacefully to hear the story & significance of Kashi by a learned Brahmin priest. After that pilgrims will see the majestic Ganga Aarti at the main ghat of Varanasi. And in the end, while roaming through the famous main streets and lanes of Dashaswamedh & Vishwanath Gali, return to their hotel for the night stay and the dinner.

Day 2:
In the early morning, pilgrims will see the famous Sunrise of Varanasi at the riverside along with the Ganga Aarti View, Bathing and Boat tour of the historical ghats of ancient Kashi. And then, after taking the “Sankalp” (oath) by “Purohit” (Priest) for the completion of Pilgrimage Journey of Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra, the yatra will begin.
On the first day, pilgrims will visit and worship following temples and tirth:-

Kashi Vishwanath, Mata Annapoorna, Kalika Devi, Varahi Devi, Vishalakshi Devi, Vishwabhuja Gauri, Lalita Devi, Raj Rajeshwari Devi, Siddheshwari Devi, Pitambara Devi, Sankata Devi, Kaatyani Devi, Dhundhiraj Ganesh, Sakshi Vinayak, Shanidev, Avimukteshwar, Dharmeshwar, Pashupatishwar, Manikarnishwar, Manikarnika Tirth, Chandreshwar, Chandra Koop, Harishchandreshwar, Vashishtheshwar, Aatma Vireshwar, Mangaleshwar, Buddheshwar, Brihaspatishwar, Sukreshwar, Naageshwar, Upshaanteshwar, Vishnu ji’s Feet Impression, Akshay Vat, Draupadaditya, Yamaditya, Vriddhaditya, Gangaditya, Vat Vriksh, Ganga Keshav and Panchkroshi Temple

Day 3:
The second day of Pilgrimage Journey of Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra will begin in the morning.
The temples which pilgrims visit and worship on this day are:-

Brahma Temple, Jagannath Temple, Siddh Hanuman, Ark Vinayak, Amarnath Temple, Maa Mahishasur Temple, Lolarkeshwar, Lolarkaditya, Swapneshwari, Rameshwaram Mahadev, Ruru Bhairav, Juna Akhada, Andhra Ashram, Kumar Swami Muth, Chintamani Vinayak, Kedarehwar, Gauri Kund, Maansarovar Koop, Chausatti Devi, Pataleshwar, Pusyadanteshwar, Ek-Dant Vinayak, Tara Devi, Chinna Mastika Devi, Agasteshwar, Kashyapeshwar, Angireshwar, Jangambari Muth

After Lunch break, Pilgrims will travel to the SARNATH where 2500 years ago, after getting enlightenment at Bodh Gaya, Gautam Buddha came and delivered his first sermon. The sermon that he gave here to his five followers, led to the foundation of Buddhism that has today spread across the world. This first sermon was called “Dharmachakra Pravartana” or Turning of the Wheel of Law. The Places which pilgrims will visit in Sarnath are:-

Sarnath Museum, Ashoka Pillar, Mulagandhakuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamekh Stupa, Dharmrajika Stupa, Bodhi Tree, Deer park, Jain temple, Japanese Temple, Chinese temple, Tibetan temple, Thai Temple & Saarang Nath temple

Day 4:
The third day of Pilgrimage Journey of Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra will begin in the morning.
The temples which pilgrims visit and worship on this day are:-

Kamakhya Devi, Vaidhnath Dham, Batuk Bhairav, Krodhan Bhairav, Aadi-Lakshmi, Kuditaksh Vinayak, Kali Ji of Kali Muth, Pitra Kund, Pitreshwar, Matra Kund, Peechashmochan Tirth, Kapardeeshwar, Panchmukh Vinayak, Jaageshwar, Maha-Mrityunjaya, Vridhkaaleshwar, Madhyameshwar, Bada Ganesh, Bhoot Bhairav, Pavaneshwar, Jaistheshwar, Jaistha Gauri, Kandukeshwar, Kaal Bhairav, Dandpani, Mangla Gauri, Gabhastishwar, Mayukhaditya, Mangal Vinayak, Bindu Madhav, Shri Muth, Baba Tailang Swami Ashram, Kabir Muth

Back to the hotel for the night stay and the dinner.

Day 5:
The fourth day of Pilgrimage Journey of Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra will begin in the morning.
The temples which pilgrims visit and worship on this day are:-

Sankatmochan Hanuman, Baal Hanuman, Bankati Hanuman, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Durga Devi of Durga kund, Anand Baag, Guru Dhaam Temple, Shiv Temple of Guru Dhaam, New Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Kala Bhavan (Museum), Ram Nagar Fort, Durga Temple of Ram Nagar, Vyasheshwar & Chunar Fort*
*Chunar Fort:
Incase of adequate time.

Back to the hotel for the night stay and the dinner.

Day 6:
The fifth day of Pilgrimage Journey of Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra will begin in the morning.
The temples which pilgrims visit and worship on this day are:-

Omkareshwar, Trilochaneshwar, Kaameshwar, Durwaseshwar, Aadi Mahadev, Varanasi Devi, Swami Narayan Temple, Shaileshwar, Shailputri Devi, Laat Bhairav (Kapaal Bhairav), Aadi Keshav, Vrisabh Dwajh, Kapila Tirth, Vark Kund, Kabir Das Ji’s birth place

Now, pilgrims will be taken to a less busy yet spiritually very energetic & enchanting ghat of Kashi, which is situated at the southern end of ancient Varanasi called “Assi”. Roam around from one ghat to another and feel the eternal silence and antiquity of mystic Kashi along with the Night Ganga Aarti of Assi ghat.
In the end, by showing the gratitude towards Vishwanath ji, Annapoorna ji, Ganga ji & Bhairav ji for allowing you to visit Kashi, offer a “Diya” (earthen lamp) in the peacefully flowing holy water of river Ganga and return back to the hotel for night stay & dinner.

Day 7:
On this day, the pilgrimage of Kashi Panchkroshi Circle will begin from Manikarnika Tirth by taking the “Sankalp” (oath) by a priest for the successful completion of the yatra. For details, see Kashi Panchkroshi Darshan-Yatra page.

Day 8:
This day after completing the desired pilgrimage journey of Kashi, pilgrims will visit Shooltankeshwar, Badi Sheetla Ji and Sitamani on their way to Vindhyachal dham. In the hills of Vindhyachal range they will do the darshan and worship of Mata Vindhyavashni Devi, Mata Asht Bhuji Devi & Kali Khoh. Pilgrims will have lunch in Vindhyachal town and after which they walk around the scenic hills of Vindhyachal mountains before heading to Prayag (Allahabad) for the night stay.

Day 9:
In the morning, pilgrims will go to the place of confluence “Sangam” of three holy rivers- Ganga, Yamuna & mystical Saraswati where they see the “Triveni Aarti” and may take the holy dip too. After having breakfast, pilgrims will see various temples and places of the city of Allahabad (Prayag) whose names are follows.

Akshaya Vat, Hanuman Mandir, Patalpuri Temple, Allahabad Fort, Ashoka Pillar, Shankar Viman Mandapam, Mankameshwar Temple, Minto Park, Swaraj Bhawan, Anand Bhawan,Jawahar Planetarium & Chandra Shekar Azad Park

After having lunch and seeing above mentioned sights, pilgrims will return to Varanasi in the evening for the night stay and dinner.

Day 10:
Have breakfast, collect your luggage and return to the railway station or airport

• The whole yatra would be conducted by air-conditioned vehicles where the vehicle can enter.
• Our yatra representative will be with the pilgrims at all times.
• Flower-garlands would be available with the representatives on the need of pilgrims.
• With all the yatras, the darshan of Kashi Vishwanath and Mata Annapurna is also included.
• All the pilgrimages will start & end with the taking of oath by the priest.

Note 2: The venue of religious preaching of the story & significance of Kashi will be altered from the ghat to the temple with in the vicinity of organization’s building during the harsh weather condition.

Note 3: While performing Vrihat Kashi Darshan-Yatra, pilgrims can also perform Rudra Poojan, Rudrabhishek and Rudra Yajya, Dash Maha Vidhya Poojan and Baglamukhi Jap.
